Overview

"About the Advanced Clinical Training Program for Foreign Practitioner" is a program that allows doctors holding medical licenses from other countries to engage in clinical practice in Japan with the permission of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

The program aims to foster internationally minded medical professionals and provide patients with more advanced care by creating an environment where physicians can learn from one another and enhance their expertise.

  • Please note that acceptance may vary depending on the period, and in some cases applications may not be possible.
  • To apply, please submit (1) your Resume, (2) a Detailed Work History, and (3) a Letter of Recommendation.

Note:

  • Please note that acceptance may vary depending on the period, and in some cases we may not be able to accept practitioners.
  • It may take up to two weeks to receive a reply to your application.

The selection process, including an interview, will be conducted by the department in which you wish to receive training.

You may also be asked to submit additional documents, such as a vaccination certificate, so please have them ready.

Please complete the following application process after passing the selection:

  • Application for Status of Residence and Visa
    You are required to obtain the appropriate status of residence and visa in order to begin the training. If you need any assistance, please contact the administrative office.
  • Application for Clinical Training
    After we receive all required documents from you, our hospital will proceed with the application to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

[Important Notes for Clinical Training]

  • The application process may take approximately four months to complete before training can begin.
  • All expenses related to the application must be borne by the applicant.
  • This program does not provide salary, travel expenses, living expenses, or any other financial support.
  • Accommodation arrangements (such as guest houses) are not provided. Applicants are required to secure their own housing.
