New patients

Our reception for the first visit is open from 8:45 am to 10:00 am.

If you are visiting our hospital for the first time or making your first visit to a department you have never visited, a referral letter from your primary care physician is required to make an appointment for your initial consultation. The first appointment can be made only by a medical clinic or institution through our Community Healthcare Liaison Office.

You are required to obtain a referral letter from your primary care physician in order to make an appointment for your initial consultation.
Our hospital has been approved by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare as a special functioning hospital providing sophisticated and advanced medical care that cannot be easily conducted at general medical institutions. We will be able to accept more patients who need sophisticated and advanced medical care by taking over medical information such as the disease condition and treatment course from your primary care physician, which shortens the time required for medical interview and initial consultation. Thus, we ask you to bring a referral. Also, it will prevent you from undergoing the same test that has been already performed and paying the expense for it.

We can arrange interpreters via telephone or video for your appointment at our hospital (free of charge). If you wish the dispatch of a medical interpreter, we can also arrange to use the service provided by the corporation with which we have concluded a contract (requires a charge).

Please prepare a medical information document in Japanese or English.

We cannot respond to such a request in our hospital.

Hospital stay

We may ask family members to accompany the patient depending on the disease condition, etc. However, visiting a patient is prohibited other than the visiting hours in principle.

We cannot prepare special meals that cope with specific religions or principles, but we can remove ingredients that you are not allowed to eat. Please let the staff know the ingredients after the date of admission is decided.

We do not prepare a meal for an attendant.

A guarantor takes responsibility when the patient is incapable of performing the obligations. If the patient to be hospitalized cannot pay the hospitalization expenses, the guarantor is responsible for paying the expenses.

Wi-fi is available only for private rooms.

Prescriptions & refills

In Japan, we cannot issue prescriptions without medical examination by a physician. You must consult with your physician to get your prescription refilled.

Medical records

You may request for medical records and certificates during your stay or visit.

If you want a medical certificate in English, please let us know.
Please note that it will cost 5,000 yen (excluding tax) and will take about 20 days for the preparation of the document in English.

Cost & payment

In the case of hospitalization, we can tell you the approximate cost if the details of treatment are decided. Please come to reception counter 2. In addition, for our hospital, if a patient not covered by the Japanese health insurance, such as a foreign traveler, is examined for a disease or injury during his/her stay in Japan, medical expenses will be calculated at 30 yen per point of medical remuneration points.

In the system, if the amount of medical expenses paid at the cashier’s desk of a medical institution or pharmacy exceeds the ceiling amount of a month (from the 1st day to the last day of the calendar month), the amount exceeding the ceiling amount will be refunded so that the medical expenses would not be too much of a burden on the household economy. (Only those who are covered by the Japanese public health insurance)
