FAQ

FAQ

  • I am pregnant or may be pregnant. Can I go through your program?

We do not recommend our programs as some screening tests may pose potential risks to the mother or fetus. If you are pregnant or possibly be pregnant, please consult an obstetrics and gynecology clinic for appropriate prenatal care.

  • Can I bring my child with me to your facility?

Due to the safety reasons, we do not accept children.

  • Do you offer sedation during upper GI endoscopy?

We offer sedation-free endoscopy as you will have a faster recovery time and you do not need anyone to travel with you. While you are still conscious, local anesthesia is applied to minimize discomfort.

  • Do you offer TNE(a transnasal endoscopy) ?

Yes, TNE is more comfortable than a transoral endoscopy as gagging is rare and you can talk during the procedure. But we also offer transoral if you are prone to nosebleeds or feel anxious.

  • I am worried my nose bleed with TNE.

    after having TNE, we recommend:

    1. Sit up with your head tilted forward. This is to prevent blood being swallowed.
    2. Pinch the soft part of your nose (below the hard nasal bones) between thumb and forefinger for at least 10 minutes without letting go.
    3. Avoid blowing your nose vigorously. If needed, blow gently through one nostril at a time.
    4. Rest and avoid vigorous activity such as exercise.
